2016 TMEA All-State Etude Clinic

Tenor and Bass Etudes 
non ATSSB excerpts


When: Saturday, October 8th and 9th 2016
Clinic: 1PM-4PM
Mock Audition beginning at 5PM
Baylor Trombone Choir Concert (Jones Hall) - 6PM

Where: Campus of Baylor University - McCrary Music Building - meet in Phillips Studio - 121

What: Performances by the Baylor Trombone Choir
This clinic will focus on individual performance technique in a master class setting. Mr. Phillips will perform each etude and discuss elements of preparation, performance, tempi and mental toughness. Each participant will be able to perform excerpts of the etudes in a master class. 

Mock Audition
There will be a short behind screen mock audition at the conclusion of the clinic. Tenor and bass winners will receive the following:


9th through 11th grade: Full Scholarship to the Baylor Band and Orchestra High School Camp - Summer 2016
If the winner is a graduating senior - he/she will receive a generous scholarship to study trombone at Baylor as an incoming freshman trombone BM or BME major (pending university admittance). 

Clinic cost - $25
